Nobody ‘gets good’ during a guitar lesson, improvement comes from regular practice. That’s why my lessons focus on guiding students to achieve their musical goals using what naturally inspires them rather than enforcing inflexible curriculums, because the single most important thing is cultivating a passion for the instrument & music so practicing will never feel like a chore.
I can offer advice & support with instrument maintenance if you would like to know how to best use your equipment too. Whether you want help restringing a guitar, learning your first song, perfecting a technique, or getting nerdy with some music theory we have you covered!
Online Gutiar Lessons
Having online lessons gives you the opportunity to learn from the comfort of you own home, or anywhere else in the world!
Online lessons use video calling software such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Discord. All you need is a guitar, a device with a camera and an internet connection.
Online Guitar Lessons are more popular & convenient, removing traffic & transport problems. Much easier to fit into a busy schedule.
In Person Gutiar Lessons
An In Person Lesson is a more traditional approach, they can be more free form because it enables me to play along simultaneously with you, which makes demonstrating concepts such as harmony and melody much simpler, not to mention learning to play with other musicians (instead of backing tracks) is a huge part of becoming a well rounded musician, and these skills do take longer to develop online due to limitations of technology & delays with internet connections.
If you are able to get to me Lessons In Person are a great option for you. I’m based in Manchester, England so if you can’t travel to me, unfortunately in person lessons wont be possible.
